I'm enjoying my lvl 45 di priest. I was holy but soloing was just too damned hard. The spirit buff helps keep manaharged and the refltive shield adds to damange. In 5 mans, shileding the tank is helpful sie it kks out damage and saves on the healing. I'll probably swih bk to holy around 70 but I'm stking with Di until then. Mh easier to PvE than but is more defense based so Shadow is still the better option. Everyone is shadow so I wanted to be different.
I'd avoid shielding tanks in PuG's at low levels. It does hurt aggro generation (no rage and therefore threat generation) and it's not very mana-effient, whhan be aoern if your group isn't very good.
Hi guys, I'm hoping by having a diussion with various priests of different sps Ian sort out myonflting thoughts and emotions and dide what I want to do with my priest. Right now she is level 68 and Shadow sp. I love being shadow, and being able to deal great damage while still bringing utility to a group with VEVT. However, as I get into higher instaes and gather up more +dmg gear I am running into major threat issues. This is where I want to hear your stories if you are having the same problems. I have been mostly running PUGs so I'm not sure if the problem is the tank not knowing how to generate and maintain threat on multle mobs, or if it's me. On trash, Ian't use VE at all without pulling aggro on mobs that aren't the main target. On bosses Ian't weave in VEVT until the boss is at least at 75% or again, I pull aggro. I have 33 shadow affinity as well, so Ian't imagine what it would be like if I didn't. Oe you get into the level 70 instaes and heros, as a shadow priest are you still able to find groups or are people looking for alass with more traditionalrowdontrol? I think we make a greatombo with a paladin main healer, or even a paladin tank as we help them keep their mana bar full, but has that peeption rehed everyone else out there yet? Now some questions for you holydi priests out there. How are we stking up against the other healinglasses? It seems like we are still the masters of AOE healing, but do these spells tually see use on aonsistent basis? If not, it seems like paladins would have an advantage over us with their super effient single target heals, their party buffs and the ft theyan wear plate.an we still solo heal an instae run with no problems, or are you finding you need an off-healer in the group to make things run smoothly? If I was going to swih over to holydi I know I would be going at least 21 points into di for Divine Spirit. The only question is if I should go 40 into holy to max out Empowered Healing. Does the extra +healing really make a huge differee in terms of effiey? Or would it be better to go for Imp. Divine Spirit or Mental Strength (or aombo of the two)? The reason I have so many questions is I hastilyhose Primal Mooloth tailoring as my spialization, re-spced holydi for about a day and hated it due to soloingoming to arawl and a bad few instae runs and then hastily dided again to go bk to shadow. So, thataused me to dide I wanted to go with Shadoloth tailoring instead so I had to drop tailoring totally and re-level it. Now, I'monfused again so I want to be sure about what I'm going to do before I dide on my tailoring sp again :) If any of you tually take the time to read this whole thing and answer even a few of the questions, I will really appriate it.
